WHAT IS Pathology Tests?

A pathology test is a test that examines your blood, urine, faeces or samples obtained by biopsy. Doctors use this information for diagnosis and treatment of diseases and other conditions. Pathology tests help doctors and nurses prevent, diagnose, manage and monitor many conditions, including allergies, infections, chronic diseases and cancer.

We provide information to confirm or exclude the presence of particular diseases, such as a wound swab to confirm or rule out a bacterial infection. We provide a final diagnosis such as an assessment of a biopsy to check if a mole or lesion is a skin cancer.
